Bedrooms
We cater specifically for two people and our bedrooms and shower room are in a separate wing of the house, and offer complete privacy ... choose from either the twin beds in Melrose room or the king-sized bed in the Malindine room.
The Malindine room contains many of the photographs taken by Edward Malindine the distinguished photojournalist of the 1920's and 30's, who later became one of the most significant British Army WW2 photographer ... he walked with history ... you can share this.
Our rooms are beautifully decorated and offer all the comfort you will need, with views over the gardens, and barns ... they provide an ideal escape to the country.

Gardens
In 2007 a garden at Le Petit Ruisseau did not exist, but by 2008 after a spring and summer of hard labour there was a transformation.
Roses now climb and soften the old stone walls & fill the garden with their fragrance. The garden is full of birds & butterflies and the mining bees return every year.
The front lawn covers the old farm yard and the aged walnut tree provides a soft dappled shade under which to sit. The swing is 5 year old Matilda's delight and will always be part of her childhood memories.
Rumour has it that the old stone steps from the tower lie hidden beneath the mound!
Le Petit Ruisseau is a much loved family home ... come & share it!
The stream has provided hours of enjoyment to small children who have watched the dragon flies ... been enchanted by the glow worms ... amazed by the otters and eels ... enthralled by the herons and egrets & listened in wonderment to the wild call of the buzzards as they circle overhead.
